How It All Began

The origins of the WD family business date back to the 20th century.In 1884 in a tiny space in his own warehouse, Famer began working on learn how to use manual lathes to manufacture non-standard parts in his spare time.

The Experience Accumulated Of Famer

In October 1988,Famer began his career in manufacturing at Foxconn Factory。He progressed through roles as a assembly line worker，procurement staff，manager, and finally, CNC machining manager,machine General Foreman.He has experience in a variety of machining and specialized processes.

WD Established And First Company Logo

In October 1994,Famer took over the then small screw workshop in dongguan-china after ended his job at Foxconn.Serve the society had always been his goal and he worked very hard to achieve it: 2 month later, the trained designer and machinist realized his dream and founded his company to produce „factory-made non-standard parts“. The firm was officially registered in Dongguan, China on 26.03.1995，Over the next 30 years the company would grow to become a global fabricate corporate group:WD Group.Also in the same year, Famer met the most important partner in his life-David.

The Initial Success

The WD company was so successful that the first cnc turning hall had to be added. By 1997 the company already had 30 employees，although most of the employees are Famer Li’s fellow villagers or relatives, they still cannot conceal the success of WD .In July 1997，Famer Li invested in the Minghe Casting Company of partner David.

Gradually Develop

4 axis Interchangeable headstock CNC Machining center was added in 2002 in response to customers request for complete parts verses just precision parts. Larger capacity CNC machines have replaced the first machine as well as added capacity. Currently WD operates 10 CNC Center, we are capable of 3-axis Or 4 axis operations and largest bed size of 60” by 120”.

The Major Breakthrough

The revolutionary cnc miiling production line process was developed. This was a cnc miiling production line with a viewing opening at the front.Minghe sand casting was added in 2005 with the addition of a coastal sand mixer continuous sand mixer. Sand casting is a great compliment to the Rubber Plaster Mold, process the company was founded on.

The Development Of Investment Casting

Investment Casting was added in 2006. The process is slightly different than the traditional investment process, in so that we never create a tool. All of the castings are produced directly from a 3D printed pattern. This process works well for small, low volume, complex parts. This process is faster, cheaper, and provides an actual industry standard, fully dense casting when compared to DMLS (Direct metal laser sintering)

The Milestone

In 2007, Dongguan WD Co.,Ltd. was established as a joint venture by Zhou Feng and David Pan,location at Sifangyuan Industrial Park, Xinshapu, Huaide Community, Humen town, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province,China.As a cnc machining factory WD Material research & Design and manufacture products,Material types included machining aluminium,stainless steel,brass,copper,titanium,magnesium and plastic machining etc.,. SNK Shop occupies an area Over 5,000 square meters.SNK serviced aircraft&aerospace, automotive, LED lighting,bike,medical,electronic,mechanical,Oil&Energy and Military industries. 

Developing And Certification

WD Company Passed SGS China Manufacturing Certification And ISO:9001 2008 Certification.In July of the same year,WD Added 30 3-Axis CNC Machining Centers and 10 4-Axis CNC Machining Centers, added 50 technicians, 2.5-dimensional detector，And took the lead in adding a new PMC department.

Diversification And Modernization

No fear of new markets，In October 2009,WD formed a foreign trade team and fully transformed its external CNC Machining Service. It was also at this point in time that WD met a large number of loyal customers through Google, and under the leadership of the customers, it further optimized the workshop management system and the quality of personnel.

Development Of Internal Heat Treatment And Added 3+2 Axis Machine

In 2010, WD added the ability to heat treat castings in house. This increased the speed at which we could provide heat treated parts. The process typically took 2-3 days before, now it can be done in most cases overnight.

3+2 Axis is a Method Of 5-Axis Machining,WD added 3+2 axis cnc machining center and their equipped mechanics in 2012.

Development Of Power Coating

In 2013, WD Group acquired Dongguan Tianniu Powder Coating Plant. Further integration of upstream and downstream enterprises in the die casting industry chain. Improved surface treatment efficiency and productivity of die-cast products

WD Writes Success Story With New Record Revenues

For WD Group, the new years begins for the first time with a Board of Management in which no family member sits. 2014, More executives rely on their ability to enter the top of the company and replace the original technical backbone, the technology group has over 180 employees and revenues of nearly 5 million euros.In same year，WD Group formally become a Huawei sub-supplier and produces base stations metal accessories for Huawei’s subordinate suppliers.

ISO9001:2015 And ITAF 16949 Certification And 5 Axis Cnc Machine Added

In 2015, WD Group Passed IATF 16949 Automotive Certification and ISO 9001: 2015 Certification.In the same year, the HEXAGON Inspector 3D Measuring Machine and Mazak 5 Axis Cnc Machine was introduced.

Growth And Globalization

With the advancement of globalization, Mr Chou has increasingly felt the increase in labor costs and fixed costs. Starting in 2016, he began to transfer production capacity to other provinces mainland China. In 2017, he established a new 5 Axis Cnc Machine Shop in Loudi, Hunan. In 2018, he invested in a sheet metal factory in Huizhou. In 2019, Mr Chou invested in Chongqing Sipxmach stamping company. In 2020, Famer Li became the executive vice president of the Hunan Chamber of Commerce in Dongguan, further improving his ability to integrate the fabricate industry supply chain.In the same year, Famer Li established BE-CU Protytpe Company and integrated the powder metallurgy supply chain.

Completed 10,000 Projects

In Spring of 2021, WD Group has completed 10,000 projects in total. And expanded the factory area.In 2021, the Group invested the dongguan most modern 3d printing factory in Changan, China，And the introduction of advanced Zeiss three-dimensional detector.
